About The Y on Broadway
Originally opened in 1894 as the YMCA of Mauch Chunk, the Y on Broadway Hotel & Spa has meticulously preserved the historical architecture and design influenced by classical revival elements, pedimented windows and doorways, and the iconic columned balcony. The four front pillars which were once a part of the first courthouse in the town of Mauch Chunk (est. in 1818), now known as Jim Thorpe (1954), still adorn the front of this stately masterpiece.
The Interior has been well planned for you to see and feel – experience for yourself – hoping to offer something for everyone’s individual taste. As you walk the halls of the newest hotel in town, you will be transported back in time through the many historical pictures taken throughout the past 100+ years documenting the transformation of the local area. We certainly look forward to having you stay with us and make your memories here incredible!
